A nocturnal Pokémon, it sleeps underground during the day, absorbing nutrients from the soil while its leaf absorbs sunlight from above. The leaf also acts as a sensory periscope, detecting danger and gauging surface conditions.
At night, it will go on the move, hunting small insects and seeking out fertile soil. It can sometimes be found in a farmer's fields, hidden among the crops. The appearance of the leaf can indicate the Pokémon's health and overall maturity.
